The Audies Award goes to...
That is the question asked each year as audio book publishers are honored at the Audies for their works and committment to the audio book industry. See, the Audie awards have quickly become to audio books as what the Oscars are to the movies. The Audio Publisher Association, a not- for-profit trade organization started the awards in 1996. The nominees are selected in January and the awards follow in the spring.
The Audie is the award you want to leave the show with.
It shows everyone associated in the audio book industry who is tops in their respected areas. Every year, The Audies grow to feature new categories and highlight the ever growing strength of the entire audio publishing industry. With awards given to more than 30 different categories, this truly showcases the best of the best of the audio book industry.
See below a complete listings for each year the Audie awards have been hosted. Review all the winners from each category since the start back in 1996. This is a great way to begin a list of must listen to audio books. Some of the audio books from the earlier years may be a little harder to find, but they all should be still around for your audio book enjoyment.
