Rhonda Byrne stumbled on what she calls The Secret at the end of 2004 when everything in her life had fallen apart. She was in "total despair"... emotionally, physically and financially. Her father died suddenly, and she was then worried about her grief-stricken mother.

Thanks to Rhonda's daughter, this lead Rhonda to read hundreds of books, listen to hundreds of hours of audio tapes and scoured the Internet for more information. She says she traced the idea of The Secret through history, back to 3500 B.C. to the present day.
